What we are all about:
- Building a community of students sensitive to the issues concerning women in Science and Engineering.
- Organizing academic, social, career-oriented and athletic activities for members
- Welcoming and helping new members adjust to their life as students at the beginning of each academic session and,
- Promoting outreach programs with the aim of increasing the number of female students choosing to study Science and Engineering at university.
We are holding elections to fill in positions on the WISE team. Check out available positions and descriptions below.

DO NOT FORGET to fill out the doodle to indicate your availability for Meet Your Candidates, which is a meeting where applicants will present themselves and their platform to students who will be voting during elections. This meeting will take place on a day from March 21st-24th.
Voting will take place for a week after Meet Your Candidates. We will welcome the new exec team during a WISE Social Night taking place during March 29th-April 1st.
Science Co-President (1): is the official representative of WISE and is responsible for chairing and preparing agenda for meetings, maintain the communication channel between the executives and the members by exchanging any ideas or proposition to keep active rule for uOttawa WISE
Engineering Co-president (1): is the official representative of WISE and is responsible for chairing and preparing agenda for meetings, maintain the communication channel between the executives and the members by exchanging any ideas or proposition to keep active rule for uOttawa WISE
VP Finance (1):take care of all matters relating to monies, including preparing budgets, collecting and dispensing money according to all WISE expenses.
VP Communications (2): maintain our online presence, design and distribute posters throughout campus
VP Social (1): manage all uOttawa WISE activities including planning and organizing the team to help execute events. Will be the liaison with the SFUO and act as contact person from uOttawa WISE
VP Outreach (2): responsible for all tasks related to uOttawa WISE outreach events, including seeking partners and sponsors (speakers from outside the University, Science Student Association, Engineering Student Society) for events and seminars, etc.
VP Administration (1): will be responsible for managing executive meetings which include booking rooms for meetings, taking minutes, and managing WISE email accounts and forwarding messages.
Webmaster (1): responsible for maintaining, designing and updating website content.
